Managed Security Service Providers Are More Important Now Than Ever

Mar 23, 2020 | Cyber Security, IT News

According to Market Watch, there has been a continuous growth in the Managed Security Service Provider (MSSP) market in the last five years. This growth trend is expected to continue further into the future, projected at least as far as 2023. There is absolutely no reason to assume this trend will not be maintained indefinitely, much further into the future.

There are a few important reasons why you should consider using an MSSP, and why V2 Systems will continue to be your most valuable partner in all things related to technology.

Unless You Specialize in It, Cybersecurity in 2020 Is Beyond Your Organization’s Ability.

This has been coming for some time now. Today, most organizations have a requirement for cybersecurity expertise that far exceeds their capability. Global threats continue to increase, putting organizations on high stages of alert that they cannot maintain on their own — especially for the length of time that is required for them to remain vigilant. Indeed, this alertness now needs to be sustained 24/7 in order to protect your organization from harm.

This is the world we now live in.

As a result, most businesses will have little choice but to outsource their security services. Without doing so, it would be practically impossible to conduct any actual business while being too busy focusing on cybersecurity and IT services.

In light of that, it’s more important than ever to have a partner you can trust. V2 Systems has been a trusted leader in managed IT services in the D.C. Metro area since 1995. MSSP is in our blood. Even our very motto is about letting you worry about your actual business while we take care of the technology side of things.

The Numbers Are Against You, and You Don’t Have Time to Deal With Them on Your Own.

Managed Security Service Providers Are More Important Now Than EverAccording to Trustwave’s Global Security Report for 2019, for the second straight year in a row, 100% of web applications that were tested contained at least one vulnerability. For databases, the number of vulnerabilities patched in five of the most common database products was 148, up from 119 in 2017. In both cloud-based and point-of-sale environments, 60% of breach investigations can attribute successful social engineering as the conduit to the initial point of entry. And in a single year, cryptojacking malware has increased by a whopping 1,250%, which was nearly non-existent in 2017.

These are some pretty scary figures. What’s more frightening is that this was only a tiny portion of the report. You’re not going to have time to keep up with so much security and still be able to focus on your business.

Outsourcing Your IT Is the Most Practical (and Practically Mandatory) Decision You Can Make in 2020.
