V2 CEO SPEAKER AT FLORY ENTREPRENUER'S CONFERENCE

MANASSAS PARK, VA-Guy Hinkler, CEO of V2 Systems, spoke on the effects of technology on small businesses during Saturday’s “An Entrepreneurs Conference on Winning in a Volatile Market” hosted by The Dr. William S. Flory Small Business Center and held at Manassas Park High school.
“It was an honor to be invited to speak” said Hinkler. “I started out in business by seeking help from The Flory Center thirteen years ago and I have attended many of these conferences throughout the years. It felt good to be the one offering advice to up-and-coming business people gained from the experiences and trials I’ve gone through”.
Mr. Hinkler’s presentation focused on leveraging technology in production, accounting, and strategic sales and marketing initiatives. He also warned about the sudden disruption of technologies tied to the business and offered recommendations like preparing for disaster recovery, continuity of operations, and a possible pandemic flu outbreak. Other speakers included Virginia Commerce and Trade Secretary Patrick O. Gottschalk, Presidential Image Consultant Lillian Brown, Tax Attorney Dan Newland, and concluded with an inspirational accounting of the Colgan Air story by Senator Charles Colgan.
Hinkler also said “we are very fortunate to be members of a local business community that is rich in resources such as the Flory Center and the nearly twenty other established entrepreneurs and officials that gave up a Saturday to be of help”.
