MANASSAS, VA - V2 Systems, a leader in technology solutions for small and mid-sized companies, announced today that they will be joining Prince William County, George Mason University, and The City of Manassas in the effort to construct and maintain a state-of-the-art performance and rehearsal venue at the Prince William Campus of GMU.
“We are delighted to be a part of this venture as a Cornerstone Society contributor” said Guy Hinkler, CEO of V2 Systems. “I feel that arts and education projects, such as this, are vital to our community’s cultural advancement and economic development.”
Hinkler shall also serve as a member of the Center’s Partnership and Development Committee under the leadership of committee co-chairs; former Prince William County Supervisors Board Chairman, Hon. Kathleen Seefeldt, and former Manassas Mayor, Hon. Marvin Gillum.
The $56 million project, expected to open in 2009, shall provide resources for local community arts groups, students and teachers, civic clubs, and business organizations. The Center will also produce outstanding professional performances by artists from around the world, appealing to a broad audience.
About the Community Performing Arts Center:
The Community Performing Arts Center will contain three state-of-the-art performance and rehearsal venues, along with support facilities to showcase music, dance, theater, and choral productions from across the community and around the world. The center will also contain gallery space to present the work of regional visual artists.
